As a responsible corporation, ArcelorMittal Mining Canada G.P. (AMEM) and ArcelorMittal Infrastructure Canada G.P. (AMIC) have implemented management and operational practices to prevent injury and damage to health, minimise their impact on the environment and contribute to the economic and social development of the communities in which they are present.
AMEM and AMIC also wish to remain profitable and competitive to ensure their long-term viability, a good return on investment, the maintenance of some 3,000 direct jobs and thus participate in the expansion of the milieu.
The two companies increasingly ask their suppliers to integrate social and environmental aspects into their business practices. They also have a corporate crisis management and communication plan and collaborate actively with governments, the public and other parties involved in their activities.
