Donations and Sponsorship

Our aid goes to small and major local and regional causes associated with health, the family, education, the environment, the protection and development of knowledge acquired, culture, encouragement for healthy lifestyles and local athletes. Here is a glimpse of some of our contributions.

Every year we support not-for-profit organisations that bring life into our communities to enable them to serve the people. We also play a significant part in major family events open to everyone, such as the Port-Cartier Triathlon ArcelorMittal Triathlon, the Port-Cartier Feria and the Fermont Taïga-Carnaval.

In 2014, we set up the ArcelorMittal theater arts group with the Port-Cartier Graffiti Café-théâtre, a distributor well-known to performers and the ROSEQ (East Québec Show Organisers Network).

We have always supported the education and training sector. Thanks to a donation of $800,000, the Cégep de Sept-Îles was able to open a new pavilion that bears our name. With their expertise and our support, specialised employees have taken part in the development of two certificates for college studies offered at Sept-Iles: one for the processing of ore and the other for railroad driving. Some Québec universities offering leading-edge training relating to mining receive financial aid from us.
